Kit Loan Thread

I have a full field grey uniform size 40 trousers 32-34 ,helmet size 58 ,and full set of equipment including tornister and my beloved tanaka if anyone missed out on the british side and still wants to play. its badged as SS Gebirgsjager Obersharfuhrer but can be toned down if necessary.and I forgot ,size 71/2 jackboots.

I've got a pair of jackboots, size 9 I'm happy to loan out for the early war look, plus some feldgrau trousers, size 34-36".

Sorry John, they're now spoken for but my Brother has a pair as well, so I'll see if he's willing to loan them out. I DO have a pair of officers' jackboots if they're any good to you?

I'll bring both my Bro's EM boots and my officers ones for you to try. (The officers ones might pinch a bit round the top of your calf and are a bugger to get on!).

i now have a brit GS side cap and leather jerkin, also a 49 patt jacket but its only a little un, so if anyone needs to borrow this gear it would make a passable royal arty or RASC driver impression.

I have a Greek BD tunic which fits that waist, but I'm about 3 inches shorter. It's also badged up as Commando, so not very authentic.

Need to check have an unbadged ss one that for airsoft could this weekend serve as a heer one (by me adding some collar tabs and an eagle? not sure on size but it fits me and Che so should fit you John?

Should add it would have to be as an M40 (no bottle green collar tabs having dug it out) Che also has some size 8.5 jack boots, dunno if any use, let us know asap

Setting off at 5ish as its not far from us will grab the tunic, thread a needle, and the insignia and sew en-route the boots are already in the car

Tiny has had "a bit of a flap on" today. Went to pick up my jackboots from the cobblers this morning, but unfortunately he'd decided not to open up today, even though his sign says he does. I phoned him to ask if he could just let me grab them as I was outside and he was in the shop but he wouldnt let me get them 'because im closed until monday'. (nice bloke, but seemingly set in his ways).

ANYWHO.......... big question now is would anyone have a pair of 10 or 11 jackboots which would fit a feller with fat calves, and be willing to lend them to me tomorrow???

If not, would I be able to play in boots and gaiters(please dont all shout at me at once) even though its an early war game. I have been tryin to find summet suitable today but cant find anything which would even pass as a jackboot, only modern 'fancy looking' wellies
