I noticed that there were a number of pyro firing mortars at Gothic Line and it got me interested in getting my own.
However after researching the topic on here I found a number of threads from a few years ago saying they were illegal, shouldn't be used and will never be allowed to be used in airsoft games.
Has this changed, been relaxed or am I getting my wires crossed about what were actually being used?
The mortar rounds used are manufactured especially for the purpose by TLSFX and are fully compliant with the Health and Safety Exectutive. This sort of pyro can't be bought from airsoft retailers but is supplied to airsoft sites and other similar organisations.
All sorts of technical details such as fins and indirect fire, type of pyro and design of the mortar come into play - and generally speaking if mortars are to be used they will be provided by the organisers as part of the game experience, not my players turning up with kit.
